Replace (E) Steam Boiler in Basement Boiler Room with Hot Water Boiler
Restore (E) Radiators in Classrooms and Offices
Replace (E) Fan Unit w/ Individual Fan Coil Units in Framed Soffits in 20’s Wing
Replace (E) Radiators w/ individual Fan Coil Units in Framed Soffits in 30’s Wing
Replace (E) Radiators w/ Heat Pumps in Framed Closets at Computer Rooms 34 and 35
Replace (E) Rooftop Mechanical Units at Auditorium, Old Gym and Classrooms

SB 693 is now in effect and all contractors working on this project must work to comply with these requirements. Contractor agrees that skilled journeypersons employed to perform work on the Project by Contractor or its subcontractors at every tier are graduates of an apprenticeship program for the applicable occupation at the following percentages per Section 2601: At least 40 percent for work performed on or after January 1, 2018

SCOPE OF WORK:
The scope of work includes hard and soft demolition, hazardous material abatement, concrete, structural steel / misc. metals, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, insulation, roofing, doors & frames, plaster, drywall, acoustical ceilings, flooring, painting, louvers / vents, access panels, Fire Sprinklers, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical
All Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades must be prequalified with Santa Barbara School District to provide a bid on this project.
Pursuant to the provision of Section 1773 and 1773.2 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the District has obtained from the Director of Industrial Relations, the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work is the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the contract. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, to pay not less that the said specified rates to all workmen employed by them in the execution of the contract, and to comply with the prevailing wage requirement set forth in the Labor Code. SKILLED AND TRAINED WORKFORCE: Subcontractor shall comply with Education Code Section 17405.7, which requires Subcontractor and its subcontractors at every tier to employ a skilled and trained workforce to perform all work on this Project that falls within an apprentice-able occupation in the building construction trades. Subcontractor shall submit Skilled and Trained Workforce Compliance Report with Progress Billings each month. Billings will not be accepted without the Reports. Skilled and Trained Workforce Requirements are for Prime Subcontractors only (1/2 of 1% of Total Contract.)
Pursuant to the provisions in Section 1711.1 of the Labor Code of the State of California, a contractor shall not be qualified to bid or engage in the performance of any contract for this project unless; (1) currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5; or (2) expressly is authorized to submit a bid by Section 1771.1 and provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
This project is subject to the compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
